Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner
  • Instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors
  • Manage wait times and ensure a smooth patient flow
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors, and answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Manage medical records, including maintaining, filing, and preparing for schedules
  • Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, and process requests for medical records release

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with electronic health records
  • 1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experience
  • 1+ years of experience handling and triaging telephone calls and a multi-system phone line
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to handle cash and count money at high volumes, including mathematical computations
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, with good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with healthcare providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
