Patient Access Specialist Ambulatory Care

UCHealth is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Ambulatory Care. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and access of patients to our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation.
  • Provide explanation of visit, instructions, and address concerns and questions.
  • Communicate with referring providers' offices, clinical departments, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedule.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
