We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to fulfill essential functions within our organization.

This role encompasses maintaining the integrity of monthly inventory, cost of sales, and standard costs for the Nuvera facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting monthly analyses and providing explanations for manufacturing variances, along with financial closing duties.
  • Monitoring manufacturing inventories and generating various management reports, analyses, and KPIs related to inventory.
  • Overseeing standard costs, along with the analysis and reconciliation of margins and cost of sales associated with closing activities.
  • Performing physical inventory verifications based on a daily/weekly schedule, including ABC cycle counts and evaluating ABC ratings semi-annually.
  • Assisting in the investigation and analysis of inventory discrepancies to identify root causes, which may involve discussions with representatives from various functional areas.
  • Monitoring product costs through Bellwether cost change analysis and developing year-end standard cost uplift, including preparing E&O and LCM analyses.
  • Engaging in project and government accounting and reporting.
Required Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Previous Work Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years in a manufacturing setting.

Special Skills, Experience, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Lookups, Pivot Tables, Logical Formulas, etc.).
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Technical expertise in inventory and cost accounting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of government accounting regulations.
Work Environment:

This position is primarily office-based, requiring the ability to navigate the office to access inventory and file cabinets.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel, up to 5% for training purposes.
