We are looking for a Cost Accountant to become an integral part of our team.

This position involves ensuring the ongoing accuracy of monthly inventory, cost of sales, and standard costs for the Nuvera facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting product cost analysis and project accounting
  • Developing overhead rates and performing manufacturing variance analysis
  • Preparing various analyses to support management decision-making
  • Participating in cross-functional project teams focused on cost and inventory management
Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly analysis and provide explanations for manufacturing variances, alongside financial closing duties
  • Oversee manufacturing inventories and generate management reports, analyses, and KPIs related to inventory
  • Monitor standard costs, analyze and reconcile margins, and assess Cost of Sales in relation to closing activities
  • Conduct physical inventory verifications based on a scheduled cycle count and evaluate ABC ratings semi-annually
  • Assist in investigating and analyzing inventory discrepancies to identify root causes, engaging with relevant functional areas
  • Manage product cost through Bellwether cost change analysis and implement year-end standard cost adjustments, including E&O and LCM analysis
  • Handle project and government accounting and reporting
Required Job Qualifications

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Previous Work Experience

A minimum of 1-3 years in a manufacturing setting.

Special Skills, Experience, and Abilities

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel (including Lookups, Pivot Tables, Logical Formulas, etc.). Strong analytical skills and a technical background in inventory and cost accounting methodologies are essential, along with knowledge of government accounting regulations.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment with the ability to navigate to access inventory and filing systems.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel, up to 5% for training purposes.
