Job Title: OBD Calibration Tuning Engineer

DBSI SERVICES. INC is seeking a highly skilled OBD Calibration Tuning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for studying and analyzing system errors and features, taking ownership of the system errors diagnostic process, and collaborating with diagnostic development teams to incorporate requirements in OBD certification documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Errors Analysis: Study and analyze system errors and features to identify areas for improvement.
  • Diagnostic Process Ownership: Take complete ownership of the system errors diagnostic process as defined by clients.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with diagnostic development teams to incorporate requirements in OBD certification documents and document findings as per required standards.
  • Tuning and Validation: Tune and validate system errors and features to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation at the vehicle level to ensure system errors are properly diagnosed and resolved.
  • Documentation and Presentations: Document findings and present at stakeholder forums to ensure effective communication of system errors and diagnostic processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: B.E. or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in automotive domain with strong knowledge of systems engineering, engine, powertrain domain, control systems, and performance control.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of requirement specification, engines, and emission systems, with experience in calibration tuning, diagnostics (OBD II) tuning and validation, and functional safety (ISO-26262).
  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK and experience with certification processes (CARB, EPA).
