Job Overview: As an Automotive Service Consultant at P4 Automotive, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding customer support and managing vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role serves as a vital link between clients and the service department, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience. The Automotive Service Consultant offers knowledgeable guidance, organizes appointments, communicates service suggestions, and guarantees customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:
  • Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, fostering a positive relationship.
  • Carefully listen to customer issues, document vehicle concerns, and collect essential information for service assessment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, clarifying services, and setting realistic expectations.

  • Examine vehicles, perform initial diagnostics, and collaborate with technicians to determine necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Convey service recommendations to clients, detailing the advantages, urgency, and estimated costs.
  • Respond to customer questions regarding parts, warranties, and service alternatives.
  1. Appointment Management and Coordination:
  • Organize service appointments based on customer availability and the service department's schedule.
  • Coordinate service timelines with technicians and inform clients of any delays or modifications.
  • Ensure optimal use of service resources to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  1. Cost Estimation and Billing:
  • Generate precise and detailed cost estimates for services, parts, and labor.
  • Review invoices with clients, clarifying itemized charges, warranty coverage, and payment options.
  • Process payments, manage transactions, and maintain financial documentation.
  1. Client Communication and Follow-Up:
  • Keep clients updated on the status of their vehicle repairs, estimated completion times, and any unexpected issues.
  • Provide regular updates through preferred communication methods.
  • Follow up with clients post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
  1. Documentation and Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain organized and current records of customer information, vehicle history, service recommendations, and completed repairs.

  • Collaborate with team members and assist in administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an automotive service consultant or in a customer service role within the automotive sector is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and effectively interact with customers and service department personnel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly and understandably.
