POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Cannabis Operations Leader plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the dispensary, supporting the management team while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to all regulatory requirements. This position sets the performance standard and keeps team members engaged and motivated. Strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of cannabis products and inventory management are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients.
  • Adhere to established sales and service policies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all products and strains available, sharing insights with team members.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring a diverse product assortment, and communicating needs with management.
  • Guide Dispensary Associates in customer consultations, ensuring informed product choices based on individual needs.
  • Effectively delegate tasks during shifts, including:
    • Accurate cash handling procedures.
    • Efficient use and upkeep of the Point of Sale (POS) system.
    • Timely data entry in both POS and inventory systems.
    • Verification of order deliveries for accuracy.
    • Compliance with security protocols and safety regulations.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
    • Management of visitor logs and end-of-day reports.
    • Ensuring vault accuracy.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure smooth and compliant retail operations.
  • Document daily activities and address any reported issues or complaints.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff members in collaboration with management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cannabis industry experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong retail mathematics skills are essential.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a retail environment, particularly with POS operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team player mentality are essential.
  • Understanding of relevant state and local laws and regulations related to the cannabis industry.
  • Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for the cannabis sector.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to internalize training and follow instructions effectively.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands of this role require the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, reach, balance, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
