Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide guidance, support, and training to staff and managers on employee relations, compliance, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to prevent conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to managers and supervisors on EEO laws, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare comprehensive reports, making recommendations to address findings.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Attorney General to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in employee relations, providing guidance on complex issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state EEO laws and state HR policies.
  • Experience developing and implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, etc.)
