Position Title: Church Operations Coordinator

Organization: New Life Ministries DC

We are seeking a part-time, detail-oriented, and organized Church Operations Coordinator to support our ministry. This role is essential in ensuring that our church functions smoothly and effectively, allowing our clergy and staff to concentrate on the spiritual development of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily church operations and oversee administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records.
  • Handle financial matters, including bookkeeping and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate with volunteers, plan church events and programs, and manage scheduling.
  • Process correspondence, respond to inquiries, and oversee church communication channels.
  • Facilitate church meetings and document minutes.
  • Update and maintain the church website and digital platforms.
  • Organize schedules for clergy, music teams, and other church departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Establish and maintain a secure system for confidential church documents.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for the Church Operations Coordinator position should possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Church Administrator or similar administrative capacity.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a knack for multitasking.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and bookkeeping practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software and digital communication tools.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
  • Familiarity with the structure and functions of church operations.

We value excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with church members, staff, and the community, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with various committees and church groups is essential. Candidates should demonstrate integrity and respect for the church's mission and values.

Compensation: $18/hr minimum to $25/hr maximum
