  • Assessing the effectiveness of existing security systems and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Establishing a framework to evaluate and enhance current controls and processes related to the security system.
  • Leading compliance efforts in Network Access Control (802.1x) and Comply to Connect initiatives.
  • Assisting with the installation and upkeep of the ESS/Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) suite and its associated modules, adhering to DoD-mandated standards.
  • Analyzing logs and monitoring both authorized and unauthorized removable devices and media on the network.
  • Monitoring alerts for specific events related to VPN Gateways or Firewalls concerning unexpected traffic that may indicate a security breach.
  • Collaborating with audit analysts to oversee policy changes, privileged user activities, and data transfers to ensure ongoing policy enforcement.
  • Planning, communicating, and coordinating CND tools administration to support requirements from various sources, including Security Operations, DoD compliance/inspection readiness, Cyber Security Services Provider (CSSP), and end-users.
  • Supporting the Vulnerability Management Team to ensure that the ACAS security architecture, design, and implementation align with DoD regulations and other governing documents.
Required Qualifications

You meet the essential criteria if you possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology (IT).
  • Experience in conducting security systems analysis and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in managing enterprise security tools and capabilities, including ESS and ACAS.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and RHEL Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and standards.
  • Expertise in Network Access Control (802.1x).
  • Prior experience in maintaining and operating ForeScout CounterAct or similar Comply-to-Connect solutions.
  • Experience in implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) for device hardening.
  • Experience in incident response processes with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • A self-starter attitude, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain FCSA Comply to Connect (C2C) certification within six months of hire.
  • A current industry certification aligned with DoD Manual 8570, 01-M for IAT II (e.g., GSEC, Security+, CCNA-Security).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information clearly to all levels of management and staff.
  • An active Secret security clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You will exceed our minimum requirements if you have:

  • A comprehensive understanding of Host-based Security Systems, Device Control Solutions, and the implementation of security tools.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining Application Control solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in networking, network security, VMware, enterprise storage, server, data center services, and other advanced technologies.
  • Prior experience using Splunk to create custom queries for anomaly detection and response.
