Sponsored Research Administration Specialist
This role is integral to the post-award management of sponsored research projects. Responsibilities include overseeing reimbursements, purchase orders, service agreements, and payroll distributions. The specialist will also manage subcontracts and sub-award agreements, ensuring compliance with grant regulations and maintaining accurate budget forecasts. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the research endeavors of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison for all post-award activities within the department.
  • Ensure effective fund allocation and management, including budgeting and financial reporting for research initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist principal investigators with necessary documentation for post-award submissions to external funding bodies.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned, which may include tasks logically associated with the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Skilled in creating comprehensive verbal and written reports.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position offers a competitive salary range, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and various voluntary benefits.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position requiring on-site presence, with a hybrid work model available. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
