Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Program Coordinator to join our team at The George Washington University's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in research program administration, with a focus on facilitating research and teaching success within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate sponsored projects for the Bioinformatics lab, ensuring timely and efficient execution of research initiatives.
  • Administrative Support: Provide fiscal and administrative coordination for sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Pre-Award Functions: Assist with pre-award functions, including proposal development and submission, to secure funding for research projects.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budgets, reports, and maintain project documentation to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with Principal Investigators, research staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in research program administration, with a focus on sponsored projects and fiscal management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
