We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at the State of New Mexico. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide receptionist services, including answering phones, directing inquiries, and assisting residents, staff, and visitors.
- Coordinate and complete administrative and resident-related activities as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records, including visitor logs, resident information, and facility phone books.
- Process mail, packages, and donations, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
- Coordinate communications during fire alarms and drills, utilizing two-way radios and intercom systems.
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry, typing, filing, and preparing correspondence.
- Assist with applicant interviews, reference checks, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of office software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a State of New Mexico-owned vehicle.
This position requires working in an office setting within a long-term care facility, with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. The role involves walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stretching for various activities. The ability to function under pressure and stressful situations is essential.
