Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational policies and strategies to enhance employee productivity and work quality.
  • Oversee the performance, efficiency, and satisfaction of employees, working closely with HR to hire and train new staff.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hiring training, organize and oversee staff schedules, and conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed, in accordance with company policy.
  • Plan and organize daily activities related to production and operations, measuring productivity through performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Coordinate with other support departments to ensure successful production operations, assist with updating the organization's operations manual and policies, and operate as the first point of contact for staff's daily operations.
  • Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions, help build positive relations within the team and external parties, and keep updated records and create reports or proposals.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices, and help the organization's processes remain legally compliant.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives, examine financial data to improve profitability, manage budgets and forecasts, and perform quality controls and monitor productivity KPIs.
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service, support planning and coordination of a program and its activities, and perform other duties as necessary and required.
Requirements
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills, with extensive knowledge of operations management.
  • High level of people relations skills and awareness, strong time management and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with proven business acumen including knowledge of financials, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Possess the knowledge and capability of business development, tech savvy, and proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary remote team, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of the environment when performing essential functions outside of the office.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
  • Five to seven years of related experience required.
Ideal Candidate
  • Have previously worked in Operations Management with a startup and are comfortable with how to work with ambiguity.
  • Possess strong business acumen and business development, with 'big picture' thinking and project management skills.
  • Have worked with remote teams effectively, with interpersonal skills and experience interacting with corporate entities of Fortune 100 and 500 organizations.
  • A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles, with strong personal and professional judgment.
  • Adaptability, enabling the Operations Manager to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly.
  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to a role that juggles a variety of functions and projects.
Compensation

$70,000 - $75,000 yearly
