Job Summary

Mizuho Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Credit Officer to join its Corporate & Structured Products Credit (CPSC) Real Estate team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting credit analysis and providing recommendations to senior management on credit transactions and ongoing monitoring of real estate related industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess credit applications from branches and agencies
  • Provide in-depth analysis of credit worthiness, loan structure, risk return, and industry trends
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cash flow projection models
  • Prepare accurate and well-organized written summaries of credit opinions with recommendations for approval or decline
  • Collaborate with branches and agencies to discuss potential changes to credit structure or other conditions for credit approval
Requirements
  • 6+ years of credit-related experience, preferably in banking
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics with a strong quantitative background
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with building comprehensive cash flow projection models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
