Opportunity: Uphold seeks a seasoned Global VP of People to guide a team of dedicated professionals in the international arena. This role presents an exciting chance for an individual prepared to step into a Global VP position, where you will be accountable for crafting and implementing HR strategies that bolster Uphold's expansion, foster the professional development of our workforce, and attract, nurture, and retain exceptional talent, alongside various ad-hoc initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO & Chief Administrative Officer, the VP of People will be an integral member of the management team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the organization achieves its financial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the executive leadership to synchronize HR initiatives with the company's strategic aims and objectives.
  • Act as the department's subject matter expert on various topics, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations, policy formulation, compliance, leadership development, and organizational learning.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant and forthcoming employment laws and regulations while maintaining current knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Lead a comprehensive employee development and retention program, ensuring consistency in member interactions and advanced training opportunities for career advancement.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes teamwork, diversity, and innovation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the People Team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and propose actionable solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in HR.
  • Global experience is essential.
  • SHRM-CP certification is required; SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • Strong comprehension of employment laws and regulations, with a focus on global compliance and risk management.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities, with effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Must demonstrate trustworthiness, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Legal knowledge or experience in HR.
  • Familiarity with Bamboo HR and Lattice.
