The Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Department of Catholic Schools work with over 200 Catholic elementary schools and 50 Catholic high schools throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties, operating as the largest Archdiocese in the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Main Office Assistant.

Job Summary
The Main Office Assistant will work in collaboration with the Main Office Manager to coordinate the daily operations of the Main Office. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external visitors and callers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Perform a variety of clerical duties, including preparing routine correspondence, sorting and filing student records, documents, mail, and other materials.
Answer phones, greet and direct visitors, take and relay messages, and operate a variety of contemporary office equipment.
Assist with inventory, ordering, and distribution of office supplies as needed, and accept deliveries to the Main Office and notify faculty and staff for pick-up.
Collaborate with the Athletic Office Manager to identify and verify students for various athletic activities throughout each week, and update athletics team lists as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student files, including attendance records, immunization records, and other relevant information.
Provide basic first aid to ill or injured students and assist in making appropriate notifications to parents or guardians.
Support the Main Office Manager as needed, based on workload or in their absence, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
High School Diploma
Fingerprint clearance and VIRTUS certification (provided)
Clerical/secretarial experience, preferably in a K-12 educational setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
