  • Integrate MBSE practices into internal research and development initiatives and counsel clients on MBSE implementation within their projects.
  • Guide clients in selecting appropriate MBSE methods, languages, and tools tailored to their specific use cases.
  • Provide training to internal teams and clients on MBSE adoption, integration, and execution methodologies.
  • Share knowledge, insights, and best practices related to MBSE within Aerospace's internal and external communities through publications and presentations.
  • Offer mentorship and oversight to junior staff within the MBSE Department as needed.

Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in one or more MBSE modeling languages (SysML, UAFML, LML, etc.), methodologies (OOSEM, SysMOD, MagicGrid, etc.), and tools (Cameo, Cameo Simulation Toolkit, Sparx, Rhapsody, GENESYS, etc.).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in space systems engineering, including modeling methods and analysis.
  • Familiarity with core space system segments (space, ground, transport, launch, etc.) at various levels of abstraction.
  • Strong ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive individual capable of leading technical teams and initiating new projects.
  • Comprehensive experience in all facets of space systems engineering, including architecture, design, and analysis, with knowledge of architecture frameworks (DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF).
  • Possession of an active Top Secret or DOE-Q clearance issued by the U.S. government, with U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with querying object-oriented models using Object Constraint Language (OCL).
  • Familiarity with digital engineering or data engineering (e.g., AWS, databases, APIs, Kafka).
  • Teaching experience in technical subjects and relevant certifications from organizations such as OMG or INCOSE.
