Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled Astrodynamics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced astrodynamics systems for our space-based programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex astrodynamics and orbit analyses to ensure accurate and efficient spacecraft trajectories.
- Determine and derive astrodynamics requirements to meet customer mission objectives.
- Optimize spacecraft trajectories to minimize fuel consumption and maximize performance.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to support mission operations and team collaboration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.
- Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in orbit analysis roles.
- Expertise in orbital mechanics, orbit design, and astrodynamics.
- Proficiency in scientific computing software (MATLAB, Python, Julia, Fortran, C++, etc.).
- Technical leadership experience, including requirements generation, delegation, and management of technical tasks.
- Master of Science or PhD in aerospace engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience in orbit analysis roles.
- Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations or formation flight.
- Expertise in orbit determination and parameter estimation techniques.
- Experience with spacecraft trajectory optimization methods and software.
- Competitive salary range: $135,150 - $198,750.
