Role Summary:This position is integral to Blue Origin Operations, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. You will provide support for Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all our facilities.
As a key member of a dedicated team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will design and implement an integrated manufacturing system that utilizes cutting-edge manufacturing techniques to produce advanced space propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee manufacturing-related projects.
- Meet targets for cycle time, lead time, and production rates.
- Support production through scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
- Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Enhance operations through ergonomic assessments and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements for data, tools, and workflow automation.
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in assembly manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in factory flow and process modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data mining and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred:
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA or MSE.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
