Fluid Systems Operations Engineer II

Job Summary
Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Fluid Systems Operations Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on the pneumatic and cryogenic propellant subsystems of the New Shepard launch vehicle and related ground support equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time engineering support during launch operations
- Support vehicle managers in assessing technical risk for readiness leading into a launch
- Perform post-flight data reviews and tracking of all resulting anomalies
- Author processes and procedures for launch operations as well as maintenance activities
- Support integrated hardware testing
Requirements
- S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
- Working knowledge of fluid systems and components such as valves, filters, regulators, fittings, and sensors
- Capacity to identify and resolve discrepancies/anomalies while performing Engineering Back Room (EBR) role
- Hands-on experience with pneumatic and/or cryogenic component and system level testing with a strong safety record
- Strong coordination and project management skills, in order to track, manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
- Excellent digital literacy with the ability to rapidly learn and use a variety of software tools as needed
- Proven familiarity with data reduction and analysis
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
