Position: Supplier Development Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Development Engineer to enhance our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our suppliers meet the quality standards and operational capabilities required for our automotive thermal and energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for various projects.
2. Support the launch of new programs, localization of suppliers, and resource management.
3. Conduct comprehensive audits on potential and existing suppliers, including Supplier Capability Assessments and Manufacturing Capability Audits.
4. Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as incidents and delivery issues, and implement effective action plans for improvement.
5. Review supplier submissions, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents and 8D reports.
6. Facilitate the Cost Recovery process with suppliers and coordinate Supplier Change Requests.
7. Collaborate with manufacturing locations to address supplier performance issues and ensure compliance with containment processes.
8. Provide leadership during investigations of significant issues and foster strong relationships with suppliers throughout the product development and procurement phases.
9. Offer technical guidance in the sourcing and development of suppliers, focusing on quality, cost, logistics, and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Supplier Development.

Desired Skills:
- Proficient in ISO/TS 16949 and IATF standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why.
- Experience in manufacturing processes related to Engine Oil Pumps, Water Pumps, and Compressors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AIAG core tools: PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
