Valet Living Doorstep is a premier waste and recycling collection service that enhances the living experience for over 1.8 million apartment residents across 40 states.

As a District Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding service across a network of apartment communities.

Your role will involve supervising and guiding a team of dedicated associates, referred to as Service Valets, within your designated district.

In this capacity, you will embody a service-oriented culture that emphasizes the quality of the service experience. You will model, instruct, and mentor your team to uphold service standards.


Compensation Overview:

Salary Range: $48,000 - $53,000

Incentives:
Target bonus is 10% of annual salary, distributed quarterly.


Work Schedule:

This position requires flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, based on business needs.


Work Environment:

Your work will be conducted from both a home office and on-site at community properties as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure service excellence by overseeing the timely completion of resident doorstep trash, recycling, and compost collection for assigned communities.
  • Collaborate with your Operations Manager to develop a scheduling plan based on monthly and weekly waste management demands.
  • Educate and train Service Valets on collection policies and procedures while ensuring compliance.
  • Enhance system (iValet) adherence through effective communication, training, and development of all Service Valets.
  • Manage the collection process efficiently by utilizing provided tools to meet budgetary goals and client expectations.
  • Monitor nightly performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to service enhancements and business growth by suggesting productivity improvements.
  • Boost Service Valet retention by fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring high engagement levels.
  • Provide on-call support to Service Valets and the assigned communities.
  • Document safety incidents promptly and thoroughly.
  • Conduct regular community inspections to maintain quality standards.
  • Identify associate development needs and facilitate relevant coaching or training opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings virtually, in person, or off-site as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading effective teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in spreadsheet and data analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, customer service principles, and leadership concepts.
  • Exemplifies a strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage stress effectively and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fostering engaging interactions.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain effective teams while holding oneself and others accountable.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, with the capacity to organize and manage workload based on client needs.

Physical Requirements and Employment Conditions:

This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs, walk distances including stairs, bend at the waist and/or knees, and lift arms at/over shoulders.

Ability to occasionally work outdoors and navigate changing weather conditions.

Exposure to disagreeable odors may occur.

A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with local and state regulations and company policy are required.
