Valet Living Doorstep is a premier waste and recycling collection service that enhances the value and convenience for over 1.8 million apartment homes nationwide.

As a District Operations Supervisor, you will be pivotal in ensuring outstanding service delivery across a range of apartment communities.

Your role will involve managing and guiding a team of dedicated associates, referred to as Service Valets, within your designated district.

In this capacity, you will embody a service-oriented culture that emphasizes the quality of the service experience. You will model, instruct, and mentor expectations to achieve the service standards.


Compensation:
$48,000 - $53,000

Incentives:
Target bonus is 10% of annual salary (distributed and paid quarterly)

Work Schedule:

This position requires flexibility to work a variable schedule, which may include morning, early afternoon, and evening hours based on business needs.


Work Environment:
You will operate from both a home office and in-field (community properties) as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure service excellence by overseeing the daily and nightly completion of resident doorstep trash/recycle/compost collection for assigned communities.
Develop a scheduling strategy in collaboration with your Operations Manager based on monthly and weekly waste workload.
Adhere to, promote, and educate Service Valets on collection policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with the system (iValet) through consistent communication, training, and development of all Service Valets.

Plan and manage the collection process by fully utilizing available tools to meet budget targets and client requirements.

Monitor nightly performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to service enhancement and business growth by suggesting productivity improvements.

Enhance Service Valet retention by fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring high levels of engagement.
Provide on-call support to Service Valets and assigned communities.
Report safety incidents promptly and thoroughly.
Conduct regular community inspections to ensure quality standards are upheld.
Address associate development needs and facilitate relevant coaching or training opportunities.
Participate in team meetings virtually, in person, or off-site as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Demonstrated success in building and leading effective teams.
Strong analytical skills with experience in spreadsheet and data analysis.
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.
Solid understanding of basic employment law, customer service principles, and leadership/management concepts.
Exhibit a strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
Ability to manage stress effectively and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective and engaging interactions with individuals.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective teams while holding oneself and others accountable.
Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to organize and manage workload based on client needs.

Physical Requirements and Special Conditions of Employment:

This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs, walk distances including up and down stairs, bend at waist and/or knees, and lift arms at/over shoulders.

Ability to occasionally work outdoors and operate a vehicle in varying weather conditions.
Ability to be exposed to unpleasant odors.

Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with local and state regulations and company policy.
