This role is pivotal in executing monthly financial closing processes and accounting tasks, encompassing journal entries, preparation of supporting documentation, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with established accounting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily month-end closing activities, which include manual journal entries, account reconciliations, trend assessments, footnotes, and various analyses.
Prepare and record monthly journal entries, ensuring timely processing of accruals, amortization, prepayments, payroll, and other financial transactions utilizing accounting software such as JD Edwards, Macola, and Great Plains Dynamics.
Perform financial analyses, bank reconciliations, and reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers.
Collaborate with management to provide insights into significant fluctuations in account balances.
Assist Business Unit Finance teams in driving process enhancements and ensuring precise accounting practices.
Manage intercompany billing and conduct analyses to verify accurate posting activities.
Document accounting control procedures and develop procedural manuals for various responsibilities.
Engage with Internal Audit and External Auditors to facilitate efficient quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Conduct Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing.
May participate in special projects as assigned.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Experience in the Distribution or Manufacturing sectors, particularly in Healthcare.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
General familiarity with accounting tools and systems (HFM, Concur, JD Edwards, Hubble, Macola, Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics, QAD).
Ability to gather and interpret financial data.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
CPA designation is preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires 3 to 5 years or more of progressively responsible professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related field.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel is generally less than 10%. Office environment with no special physical demands required.

The compensation range for this position is $61,085 to $106,898, reflecting the expected starting base salary for an employee who is new to the role and progressing to full proficiency.

Various factors influence employee compensation within the specified range, including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, and internal equity.

This position may be eligible for a bonus based on the achievement of specific performance metrics.
