Your Role:

We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Lead Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our dynamic Government team. This hybrid position offers a unique combination of collaborative work within our team and the flexibility of remote engagement.

This role allows you to engage in monthly financial close processes, create financial models that support investment strategies, and generate insightful reports for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure a seamless and precise month-end closing process, including data collection, reconciliation, and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and conduct in-depth return on investment analyses, providing essential recommendations to guide investment and business decisions.
  • Create and manage intricate financial models that align with leadership goals and comply with relevant accounting standards, aiding in performance forecasting and strategic financial planning.
  • Prepare accurate and consistent reports featuring key financial metrics and performance indicators, utilizing these insights to identify trends and analyze overall performance.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in project accounting.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed business case analyses and return on investment evaluations.
  • Expertise in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, VBA).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CAS, FAR, and prior experience in government contracting.
  • CPA or CFA designation is advantageous.
  • Previous experience with Oracle or SAP is a plus.
Compensation:

At Viasat, we consider various factors when determining compensation, including the role's scope and your unique background and experience. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be part of the compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the position.
