Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting functions that support our mission in the nutritional health sector.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough analytical assessments of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
2. Support daily accounting operations, including financial accounting, accounts payable, and receivables management.
3. Execute month-end procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts.
4. Monitor and resolve discrepancies in balance sheet accounts.
5. Prepare financial reports adhering to established accounting principles and standards.
6. Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice payments.
7. Manage customer invoicing and track outstanding receivables to ensure compliance with payment terms.
8. Reconcile and manage relationships involving dual customer/supplier roles.
9. Calculate and analyze rebates, discounts, and other revenue-related metrics.
10. Contribute to maintaining internal controls to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
11. Assist with quarterly and annual audit requirements.
12. Update and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
13. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
14. Recommend updates to accounting processes as necessary.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process enhancements.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in financial audits.
- Handle special projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with mid to top-tier ERP systems.
- A minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in accounting with general ledger responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
