Job Overview

Position Summary

The Territory Sales Executive is tasked with meeting all sales and revenue objectives for Phoenix Welding Supply's ("PWS") designated area, focusing on both existing and prospective clients. This role involves crafting and executing a detailed sales strategy that aligns with PWS' overarching business goals, which includes pinpointing target demographics and developing sales initiatives to promote PWS' offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture a network of contacts to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to ascertain their product or service requirements; recommend suitable products and services accordingly.
  • Showcase the features and benefits of products or services to clients based on their specific needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and relationship management; address any post-sale issues that may arise.
  • Maintain regular contact with current and past clients, informing them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be relevant.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales figures, lost business, and any relationship challenges with customers or vendors.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts for the assigned territory.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required.

Supervisory Role

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level sales or customer service personnel.

Work Environment

This role frequently utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, scanners, copiers, and fax machines. It requires a high level of interaction with customers.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily a mobile position, involving periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as driving within the designated territory. The candidate must be able to lift 15 lbs. or more occasionally and walk unassisted for customer site visits, which may include navigating stairs.

Position Type and Work Hours

This is a full-time role, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, requiring 40 hours per week to maintain full-time status. Travel within the territory is expected to be between 50% to 75%.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, along with a minimum of five years of sales experience.

Work Authorization

Eligibility to work in the U.S. with the necessary work authorization documentation. PWS is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/D/V.
