Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional 2 will provide critical support and assistance to individuals in Level 2 residential programs. This role requires staff to work with individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Staff must also maintain required documentation, administer medications, and develop positive relationships with guardians and family members. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with individuals who require daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living.
- Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.
- Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
- Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, and computer literacy.
