Position Summary:

The Facilities Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic and operational integrity of all facilities associated with the Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient operation of all facilities and equipment to align with business requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate third-party vendors tasked with the maintenance and repair of facilities.
  • Conduct inspections of vendor work to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Manage janitorial services, repairs, grounds maintenance, office relocations, and vendor relationships.
  • Verify that furniture and equipment meet the Credit Union's quality standards.
  • Negotiate with vendors and recommend approval for contractor invoices related to facilities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facility projects and implementations.
  • Provide support for departmental tasks, including mail processing and distribution of documentation.
  • Perform building maintenance and safety inspections, manage supplies and inventory, and assist with office equipment logistics.
  • Utilize independent judgment to interpret policies and resolve operational challenges.
  • Address member complaints or concerns as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of budgets for branches and corporate equipment, as well as maintenance contracts.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance is essential.
  • Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and general office equipment repair is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of equipment and supplies is required.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
  • Must be bondable and possess a favorable consumer credit report.
