Job Summary

The Business Development Director will lead the development of strategic partnerships with C-suite customers, creating valued business relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong foundation in business leadership, C-suite relationships, and a proven track record of managing opportunities through the entire sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute influence strategies to gain commitment and organizational buy-in for customer solutions
  • Position long-term service-based solutions as the foundation of a strategic partnership between Johnson Controls and the customer
  • Lead a pursuit team, including development resources, engineering, and external partners, to manage partnering agreements across the deal pursuit ecosystem
  • Train and mentor Johnson Controls sales partners to successfully advance IaaS strategies within the existing customer base

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, law, or related discipline
  • Minimum of ten years of sales experience in related industry or financial sales at the C-level
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills, and ability to influence the market at key levels
