Senior Program Director Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Director to lead major building relocation programs for leading Oil & Gas clients in North America. This position is based out of Chicago, IL.

Role Description

As a Senior Program Director, you will ensure projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by developing and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to on-site construction managers overseeing daily construction work and handover activities.
  • Lead tendering processes, including development of RFPs, bid review and clarification, and development and execution of design, procurement, and construction contracts.
  • Lead the development of programs through FEL/FEED to ensure development of the program and commercial business case.
  • Ensure contractors schedule, conduct, and document all construction meetings, including construction progress meetings, safety meetings, and inspections.
  • Review submittals for conformance with contract documents.
  • Coordinate RFIs as required.
  • Coordinate design reviews and approvals between owner and contractors.
  • Manage work to follow regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Validate all (interim) payment requests from the General Contractor and all owner subcontractors.
  • Review contractors' site-specific health and safety plan and verify all safety programs align to and are consistent with Arcadis and the owner's health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to safety standards and approved plans.
  • Maintain accurate project files, meetings records, and correspondence.
  • Verify contractors provide all applicable certificates of insurance prior to any work being performed.
  • Provide weekly and monthly client reporting packages to senior and executive leaders within the client and Arcadis organizations.
  • Support the client in coordinating all required operational training.
  • Support the client in the contract close-out procedures, including organizing the receipt of as-built documents, warranties, guarantees, O&M manuals, and training material from the contractors.
Requirements
  • 15 years of program management experience.
  • 10 years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
  • Professional accreditation (PE, AIA, CCM, CPC, PMP, LEED).
