Job Description

Position Title: Business Operations Analyst

Reports to: VP, Operations

Department: Operations and Technology

Classification: Full-time; Exempt

Overview: The Business Operations Analyst is tasked with assessing and enhancing operational and technological workflows, methodologies, and practices. This position involves the creation and oversight of critical performance metrics, pinpointing improvement opportunities, enacting process modifications, and delivering analytical insights and suggestions to leadership. Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with processes and user experiences is also a key component of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate operational workflows and procedures to uncover enhancement opportunities.
  • Gather and interpret data to assess the efficiency of current business operations.
  • Establish and uphold metrics to monitor performance and advancement.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to propose innovative solutions for operational improvements.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and provide recommendations for new policies and operational procedures.
  • Draft and document operational strategies, including goals, initiatives, and performance measures.
  • Assist in the development and rollout of new and revised operational processes.
  • Track operational performance and relay insights to relevant stakeholders.

Primary Duties:

  • Identify and facilitate process redesigns through comprehensive business and systems analysis.
  • Support the implementation of business solutions by fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct project-level analysis, producing necessary documentation (business requirements, scope matrices, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plans).
  • Collaborate with developers, technology leads, and fellow analysts to fulfill requirements and guide testers during the quality assurance process.
  • Spot improvement opportunities, both proactively and reactively.
  • Assess inefficiencies in business processes and systems.
  • Enhance stakeholder satisfaction and adoption rates.
  • Act as a liaison between Operations and IT to gather business requirements for system modifications and enhancements.
  • Work with project managers to develop and maintain project timelines.
  • Regularly meet with project teams to review deliverables and timelines.
  • Design and execute testing plans.
  • Support system upgrades, conversions, and enhancements.
  • Lead and engage in multiple projects.
  • Provide guidance to team members and peers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a business analyst or operations management role.
  • Proficient understanding of industry processes and operational differentiation.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
  • Up-to-date expertise in Information Systems, applying knowledge to the development and enhancement of action plans.
  • Skilled in negotiating the needs and expectations of diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with analytical data, indices, and fundamentals.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation: Based on experience

  • Annual Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
  • This is an exempt position.
  • Annual performance bonus target: 15%
