Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee all financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial statement preparation, accruals, accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and interact at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Manage the budget process and conduct financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Interact with various departments and provide financial information and guidance as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation, accruals, accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and interact at all levels of the organization
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
