Position Overview

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions are executed accurately and promptly, adhering to all relevant institutional, state, and federal regulations. This position is integral to the management of travel arrangements, procurement processes, accounts payable and receivable, as well as accounting and asset management activities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing routine financial transactions with precision and timeliness.
  • Handling cash transactions and processing internal charges.
  • Reconciling revenue and expense accounts to maintain financial integrity.
  • Providing exceptional customer service while collaborating with various departments.
  • Utilizing technology effectively to enhance service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma along with two years of relevant finance experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Proven capability to build and sustain positive working relationships.
  • Effective prioritization skills to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other large finance systems.
  • Knowledge of finance terminology and practices.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations related to business operations.

Background Checks
A criminal history background check is required for this position.

Salary Information
The starting salary for this position is $17.876 per hour.
