Role Objective:
We are in search of a proficient software engineer specializing in geometry and meshing to create and enhance mesh generation and processing software that supports our topology optimization, additive manufacturing, and robotic assembly software solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess experience in developing unstructured mesh generation algorithms and techniques for mesh enhancement, such as smoothing and local transformations, applied within the scope of large-scale product development. A solid grasp of contemporary software development methodologies in an agile environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold software development best practices to guarantee high-quality code, effective testing, and timely product releases.
  • Design, implement, and refine advanced algorithms and data structures pertinent to mesh generation and manipulation, addressing practical challenges and enhancing the efficiency of geometric computations.
  • Develop algorithms and data structures for seamless integration with CAD models, preparing them for meshing processes.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of discrete models generated during topology optimization to identify and rectify potential mesh quality issues, thereby improving structural analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, mathematicians, and domain specialists, to ensure our capabilities are integrated smoothly into broader software systems and applications.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for algorithms, code, and methodologies, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay informed on industry and research trends in computational geometry, meshing, digital manufacturing, and computer-aided design, and share insights with the team.

Work Environment:
Qualifications:
Education: PhD or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:

  • Deep understanding of computational geometry, mesh generation algorithms, and finite element methods.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing efficient algorithms using C++ or similar programming languages.
  • Familiarity with widely-used computer-aided design (CAD) software and formats, such as NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, and STEP.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in meshing for additive manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with CAD software interfaces.
  • Experience in Python development.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, parallel processing, and high-performance computing applied to engineering challenges.
