Customer Service Representative

Work Environment:
This role is based in an on-site setting, requiring engagement with both internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless service delivery.

Role Summary:
The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining effective communication and operational efficiency within the customer service department. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process customer purchase orders efficiently.
  • Generate new purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Conduct daily billing and sales reporting, collaborating closely with management.
  • Facilitate order entry for customer requests.
  • Coordinate shipping details with customers and arrange pickups.
  • Maintain and update customer contact databases.
  • Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices.
  • Engage in daily correspondence to track and manage customer orders.
  • Respond promptly to requests for quotes (RFQs).
  • Utilize various office equipment, including multi-line telephones, computers, and filing systems.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess one to two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a professional phone demeanor.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, is required to perform the duties effectively.

Physical Requirements:
The role may require standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting boxes. Candidates should be prepared to work in a typical office environment with standard conditions.
