Position Overview

The Account Director will serve as the primary liaison for clients, overseeing daily interactions and strategic initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the Ad/MarTech sector, possessing a keen awareness of the evolving trends within this industry. The ideal candidate will excel at crafting compelling, data-driven narratives that enhance client visibility in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and trust to provide strategic guidance.
  • Design and implement comprehensive strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Stay informed on industry news and share insights with teams and clients, identifying media opportunities that align with client objectives.
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish client KPIs, ensuring that performance metrics are achieved each quarter.
  • Work alongside the portfolio lead to guarantee that campaigns and projects adhere to budgetary and resource guidelines.
  • Contribute to financial management by monitoring profitability, staffing, and budget adjustments; proactively address any potential risks.
  • Develop strategies for media, audience, and influencer engagement.
  • Support the growth of new business by creating and delivering insightful presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to advance the agency's mission and cultural values.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations and marketing, with a strong foundation in media relations and corporate communications.
  • Significant expertise in working with adtech/martech clients, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into engaging media narratives.
  • A proven track record of securing high-profile media coverage across national business outlets, with established relationships in various media sectors.
  • Experience in managing client campaigns and overseeing project tasks, ensuring both client satisfaction and commercial success.
  • At least two years of experience in a strategic account leadership role, preferably reporting to senior management.
  • The ability to provide candid insights to clients, even when they may differ from client perspectives, while maintaining a collaborative approach.
  • Experience leading a team of public relations professionals.
