Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and uphold monthly general ledger entries, guaranteeing that all financial transactions are accurately documented.
- Conduct monthly GL analysis to confirm completeness and precision.
- Review and supervise Divvy and all charge coding, ensuring correct categorization of expenses.
- Execute weekly revenue reconciliations to validate accuracy in reporting, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage CAPEX schedules and oversee depreciation processes, ensuring that all capital expenditures are tracked and depreciated in accordance with company policy.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and precise collections.
- Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and schedules.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of FP&A on variance analysis to identify and elucidate differences between actuals and forecasts, providing actionable insights.
- Assist in the year-end financial close, tax preparation, and reporting processes, including preparing necessary documentation and working with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Support various ad hoc projects as needed to aid the finance team and company objectives, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
- Prepare and disseminate monthly P&L statements for management review, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's financial performance.
- Manage the filing and remittance of end-of-year 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Track, file, and maintain state and local taxes to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- File and remit monthly foreign withholding taxes to the IRS and manage 1042 issuance, ensuring all international tax obligations are fulfilled.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the entertainment or production sector.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC842, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred experience in the entertainment industry.
- Preferred strong corporate accounting experience.
The salary range for this role considers various factors in making compensation decisions, including experience, training, licenses, certifications, skill sets, business needs, and travel. Compensation decisions are based on the unique variables present, with a reasonable estimate of the current range being $100,000 - $135,000. This range has not been adjusted based on the geographic location of the successful candidate.
