The Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant (VRC)/Case Manager delivers essential vocational rehabilitation services and medical case oversight to individuals recovering from workplace injuries. This role involves collaboration with clients, insurers, healthcare providers, employers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to facilitate the client's swift return to productive employment. The Case Manager conducts interviews and assessments to evaluate the client's level of disability, eligibility, and the viability of vocational rehabilitation services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Offer job placement assistance to injured employees, which includes: Job Seeking Skills Training; resume creation, mock interviews, goal setting, and job development. Conduct vocational assessments such as Aptitude and Interest Evaluations, Transferable Skills Analysis, and Employability Assessments. Perform labor market research, including Labor Market Surveys and Analyses. Maintain effective communication through phone and in-person interactions. Prepare organized reports within designated timelines. Document all case activities thoroughly. Fulfill ongoing educational requirements as mandated by certifying organizations. Attend committee meetings, engage in customer service initiatives, present educational programs, administer vocational assessments, conduct on-site job analyses, provide expert testimony, oversee job-seeking skills workshops, and perform labor market research as needed. Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Strong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic, high-volume, team-oriented setting. Proficient in interacting with claims personnel, attorneys, healthcare providers, and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. Ability to meet established deadlines. Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, including Excel. Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills. Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related discipline. Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant (QRC) registration with the appropriate regulatory body or the ability to obtain it. Capability to achieve CRC or CDMS Certification. Familiarity with Managed Care or Workers' Compensation is preferred. Bilingual abilities in Spanish or another language are advantageous. Registered Nurse (RN) or Occupational Therapist (OT) qualifications are a plus.

COMPENSATION:

CorVel employs a market-based approach to compensation, and salary ranges may differ based on geographic location. Pay rates are determined by factors such as federal, state, and local minimum wage laws, geographic differentials, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change.

For positions with multiple levels (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.), new hires may be assigned to a different level based on evaluations during the interview process, considering experience, qualifications, and overall suitability for the role. The assigned level may influence the salary range, and these details will be clarified during the offer process.

Salary Range: $60,846 – $90,940
