Your Role:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing technology team at DuPont's Spruance site. This position will primarily support the Nomex line of business, which specializes in producing a unique meta-aramid polymer known for its fire-retardant properties and exceptional thermal and chemical stability.

This role will involve comprehensive exposure to the manufacturing processes for both fiber and paper forms of Nomex, with a focus on chemical operations and process safety management compliance. You will be the primary engineering contact for advanced troubleshooting and will support raw material qualifications and trials for new products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in Nomex technology to devise and implement solutions for Process Safety Management (PSM), Reliability & Maintenance (R&M), and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead and participate in the early stages of capital projects, overseeing their progression from design through to installation and startup.
- Contribute technical insights to the Business Technology Plan to achieve production objectives.
- Engage in Process Hazards Analysis (PHAs) and lead as necessary.
- Serve as the first point of contact in Manufacturing Technology for complex troubleshooting issues.
- Provide essential engineering support for Root Cause Investigations (RCIs) and assist in the qualification of raw materials for new product trials.
- Validate technical solutions and document outcomes to standardize Process Technology.
- Offer technical training and mentorship to Operations Engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field with substantial process technology experience, particularly in distillation (5+ years).
- A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with a focus on separations processes.
- Experience in Process Safety Management for both high and low hazard operations is advantageous.
