Job Overview
As a Senior Diabetes Territory Business Development Manager, you will partner with our Clinical Diabetes Specialists to successfully launch and promote our innovative insulin pumps and other products in your assigned territory. Your customer base will include physicians, advanced practitioners, certified diabetes care and education specialists, and key diabetes institutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective territory strategies and initiatives to meet and exceed sales goals.
You will also take on a leadership role within the team by mentoring junior staff, assisting with field sales training, and participating on internal advisory boards. As a senior member of our team, you will be expected to provide guidance and support to your colleagues, while contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Develop Effective Territory Plans
- Partner with our Clinical Diabetes Specialists to develop and implement effective territory plans that drive sales growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify opportunities and challenges in your assigned territory.
Build Strong Customer Relationships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians, advanced practitioners, certified diabetes care and education specialists, and key diabetes institutions in your assigned territory.
- Provide educational programs and product training to healthcare providers, promoting the adoption of our innovative insulin pumps and other products.
Drive Sales Growth
- Develop and execute business plans that drive sales growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
Mentor Junior Staff
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Assist with field sales training and development programs to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and tools to succeed.
Participate in Internal Advisory Boards
- Participate on internal advisory boards to provide input and guidance on sales strategies and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and innovations that can help drive business growth and success.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated history of sales success.
Valid driver's license.
For this role, we are seeking candidates with 4+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and meeting/exceeded sales targets. Experience in diabetes and selling automated insulin devices is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements for the Senior Role:
Demonstrated history of multiple years of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Recognition for outstanding contribution in sales (e.g., President's Club, Rookie of the Year, Circle of Excellence, etc.).
Served in developmental and leadership roles such as field sales trainer, mentor new hires, field advisory board/marketing input committee programs.
Experience representing our organization at industry conferences/conventions (i.e., ADA, ADCES).
Demonstrated career progression/promotions into roles with increased responsibility.

Salary and Benefits:
The total base salary and target incentive compensation for this position is $185,000 - $215,000 annually (based on achievement of sales goals).
