Position Summary:
The Senior Associate role focuses on a diverse range of financial and accounting responsibilities for Global Hedge Fund clients. This position involves the preparation and processing of transactions and financial statements, while applying sound judgment in the interpretation of accounting principles across various transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily reconciliations of cash balances, investment positions, and market valuations.
2. Manage trade processing activities.
3. Collaborate with auditors and tax preparers for fund-related matters.
4. Review accruals and expense items meticulously.
5. Gather and process corporate actions efficiently.
6. Confirm the validity of corporate actions and significant price changes through independent sources.
7. Calculate and record fees accurately.
8. Engage with investment managers and prime brokers to resolve inquiries and reconciliation discrepancies.
9. Perform analytical reviews of daily and monthly financial results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics is required.
- A Master's Degree or CPA/CFA designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or financial services; experience with hedge funds is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently is necessary.
- Capability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
