About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Loews Hotels. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for the overall management of our food service operations, ensuring that we deliver a high-quality product that exceeds our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Management: Oversee the daily operations of the culinary department, including planning, organizing, and directing all culinary activities to ensure efficient operation and quality product delivery.
  • Staffing and Training: Assist in staffing, training, and scheduling of employees to ensure that we have the right people in the right roles to deliver exceptional service.
  • Inventory Control: Establish and maintain effective inventory control processes to ensure that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
  • Cost Management: Approve all departmental requisitions and ensure that operational costs are kept within forecasted budgetary guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Personally supervise kitchen activities to ensure quality production and delivery of product/service.
  • Communication: Communicate daily with Executive Chef or Sous Chef to ensure that we are aligned on our goals and objectives.
  • Employee Development: Evaluate individual employee performance, determine areas for improvement, and establish goals and objectives to ensure that employees are able to reach their full potential.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate of Science degree or higher in Hospitality or Food Service Management.
  • Experience: Two or more years of supervisory experience in a hotel or free-standing restaurant.
  • Certification: Certification as a Food Service Manager or other relevant certification as required by state, county, or local regulations.
  • Skills: Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
