Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled and driven Enterprise Systems Engineer to become a vital member of our innovative team. This role is essential in documenting and refining our client's enterprise architecture, ensuring it aligns with the client's vision and strategic goals, particularly in enhancing interoperability through cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Development:
  • Formulate an enterprise architecture that provides stakeholders with insights into critical capabilities, dependencies, total cost of ownership, and significant impacts and risks.
  • Establish the Enterprise Architecture Baseline to capture the current state of the client's IT landscape across various organizations.
  • Define the Enterprise Architecture Future State to envision the desired future of the client's IT enterprise.
  • Create an Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan to guide the incremental shift from the current state to the future state.
Design and Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive architecture vision and strategy for the enterprise.
  • Craft roadmaps for technology integration and system enhancements.
  • Set standards for system design, security protocols, and scalability measures.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure IT initiatives are in sync with organizational objectives.
Systems Integration:
  • Assess existing systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Incorporate new technologies and applications into the current IT framework.
  • Guarantee seamless interoperability among diverse systems and platforms.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks associated with technology decisions.
  • Implement best practices and security measures to mitigate risks.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and address vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Resource Optimization:
  • Enhance resource allocation for IT projects.
  • Ensure cost-effective solutions while upholding quality and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology investments and procurement processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Engage closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, developers, engineers, and business analysts.
  • Effectively communicate architectural decisions and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with an MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with a PhD (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise Systems Engineer/Architect or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF).
  • Expertise in system design, enterprise architecture, cloud solutions, data management, and security technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and executive-level reporting.
  • Proficient in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Commitment to staying informed about industry trends and advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw).
  • Familiarity with Data Security and Compliance, Data Integrity, Data Tagging, Data Mesh, AI Integration, API brokers, and Qualitative Computing.
  • Knowledge of IC policies, directives, and standards.
  • Experience with data visualization tools/software (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI).
