Position Overview:

The role of the Marketing Specialist for Entrepreneurship Initiatives involves executing targeted marketing strategies to promote the entrepreneurial programs at San Diego State University. Employment Type:
Full-Time Contract

Compensation:
Specialist: $26.00 - $31.50 per hour
Lead: $5,916.67 per month ($67,000 - $71,000 annually)

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Marketing Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing plans for the Entrepreneurship Initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various departments to enhance program visibility.
  3. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of student assistants, guiding them in their marketing tasks and ensuring high-quality output.
  4. Content Creation: Oversee the development of promotional materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  5. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, along with relevant professional experience. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in standard office software are essential.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with marketing tools such as Salesforce, Canva, and MailChimp is advantageous. Experience in managing student interns and a basic understanding of entrepreneurship will be beneficial.

Additional Information:
Candidates must reside in California or be within a commutable distance from the university at the time of hire. The position is contingent upon satisfactory background check results.
