Primary Casualty Claims Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Primary Casualty Claims Leadership professional to join the AXIS Capital team. Reporting to the Head of Primary Casualty Claims, you will provide technical and administrative oversight to a team of experienced general liability adjusters. As a technical lead, you will support the team in evaluating claims and litigation, ensuring they meet or exceed auditor expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to the team to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Develop and implement large loss evaluations and reserve recommendations to optimize business outcomes
  • Lead the team in coverage evaluation and correspondence drafting to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with Claim and Underwriting Managers to analyze account trends and identify opportunities for growth
  • Monitor and review individual and group performance metrics to drive improvement
  • Contribute to expense management by developing the team's skills and expertise
  • Deliver performance feedback and reviews to support employee development
  • Represent AXIS Capital in the industry as needed to build relationships and promote the company's reputation
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication
  • Respond to inquiries with exceptional customer service to build trust and loyalty
  • Other duties as assigned to support the team's success

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Proven experience managing general liability claims nationwide

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $120K - $160K in New Jersey, $115K - $155K in Georgia, and $125K - $165K in New York.
