We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits Account Service Representative to join our team at Cross Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their employees, while also fostering long-term relationships with insurance carriers and producers.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day customer service to clients and their employees, addressing billing, eligibility, and claims questions and concerns.
• Notify producers and account managers of elevated billing, enrollment, or claim issues.
• Process enrollments and terminations in carrier websites or via email to carrier customer support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our Brokerage Builder / Agency Management System.
• Assist with new group submissions, including marketing and quoting benefit products, and producing proposals for presentation to clients.
• Stay up-to-date on new developments and changes with insurance carriers and federal/state laws affecting benefit programs.
Requirements
• College degree preferred, with at least one year of experience in employee benefit account management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maine agent's license in Health and Life or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with high level of patience and empathy.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with basic working knowledge required.
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with a bias for action and ability to avoid workplace distractions.
