Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Jacob Healthcare Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication management, skin care treatments, and other medical interventions.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of nursing assistants to ensure that residents receive high-quality care.
  • Charting and Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Staff Development and Training: Participate in the development and implementation of in-service training programs to ensure that nursing staff is knowledgeable and skilled in providing high-quality care.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure that patient care meets the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, but not required.
  • Licensure: Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Nurse in the state.
  • Skills: Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of patient contact. The successful candidate must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet.
