Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough pathology reviews for research and clinical specimens, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to drive key biological questions and stay up-to-date with Tempus Molecular Ontology (TMO) cohorts.
  • Participate in research projects and lab innovation initiatives, leveraging your expertise in Anatomic Pathology to drive progress.
  • Assist with maintaining CLIA/CAP compliance and proficiency testing requirements, ensuring our laboratory meets the highest standards.
  • Provide exceptional support to our team, handling contractor questions, scheduling, and other issues with ease.
  • Stay at the forefront of pathology laboratory coordinator (PLC) education and training, and assist with patient data abstraction as needed.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of standard operating procedure documentation and working instructions for PLCs and pathologists.
Requirements:
  • MD/DO with a current Illinois medical license and board-certification in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of anatomic pathology sign-out experience, although recent trainee graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment (CLIA/CAP/NYSDOH/QSR).
  • Proven ability to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
